2009-2010 School Year
Welcome to Mr. Barnes’ classes for the 2009-2010 school year. During this year I will be teaching Finance 101 (the Introductory course in the Finance Academy), Business Technology Applications, and Business in a Global Economy (the second course in the Finance Academy sequence).
This website will have links to work being done in class and assignments. If you are sick, you will be able to see what you’re missing. Parents, feel free to check in any time to get an idea what is going on in the classroom. If you have any questions or comments, please post them below.
I’m looking forward to this school year, and hope you are too!

Description of Products and Services
All business exist to sell products and/or services. Generally speaking, products are tangible objects you touch such as a movie rental, a new tire, or pair of jeans. Services on the other hand are not tangible objects. Examples of services are a haircut, watching a movie in a theatre, the repair job on your car, or a lawn care business.
Describing the products and services your business offers is an important part of your business plan. There are several questions you must answer in this part. Here’s the description of products and services worksheet.
